La Victoria is a modern town which has nevertheless preserved its original charm. If you prefer the atmosphere of a larger town, then Puerto de la Cruz is only minutes away by car. This town with its unique atmosphere and touristy offer lies about 10 km away. Santa Cruz is 27 km from here. If you prefer more natural surroundings then you may care to visit the Orotava valley which can also be reached in a few minutes. Hiking: The Anaga Mountains are a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Situated in the northeast of Tenerife, with their deep gullies and green forests, unique experience both for hikers and nature lovers. For a long time, the idyllic mountain villages could only be reached by caminos. In Las Carboneras you should try the typical goat cheese and table wine. You will be awed during your steady ascent to the Cañadas crater lip’s highest point, which lies at 2715 m, as you take in the breathtaking panorama of the national park which fans out from the Pico del Teide (3718 m). This climb is only recommended for experienced hikers who come prepared with the right sort of footwear. The village of Masca lies in the Teno mountain range. “El Barranco de Masca”, this gorge hike is unique on the island of Tenerife. During the walk through the gorge which leads down to the sea you will come across a fascinating range of flora. At the very least you should consider a boat excursion to Los Gigantes.

Diving: With its water temperature which ranges from 17ºC to 24ºC and its pleasant climate all year round Tenerife offers some exceptional dives. There are two worlds under the water – the Atlantic and the Tropical. The diving grounds lie at a depth of between 10 and 40 m. You should take time out to explore the underwater world. Since visibility often exceeds 30 m in the Atlantic Ocean, even snorkellers will be enthused. Diving is concentrated around the west and south coasts of Tenerife, as the Atlantic here is much calmer. Barracudas, groupers and tuna fish can often be found in the waters of Tenerife. If you are lucky you may even come across one of the many varieties of ray fish or even a manta ray. Horseriding: On the outskirts of Icod de los Vinos at an altitude of 600 meters on the edge of a forest lays Finca Estrella. For casual horse riding lovers from Germany the standard of horse care in south European countries leaves much to be desired. By no means can this be said of Finca Estrella, the riding centre which lies above Icod de los Vinos in the north of Tenerife. With its exemplary standards of horse care it constitutes a small treasure in the region. This can be seen in the two stables, where the horses can move about freely and are treated in a manner that is both humane and appropriate, as well as in the arena and in the other considerate facilities. Golf: La Rosaleda golf club is close by. La Rosaleda golf club lies in a wonderful natural setting surrounded by banana plantations. It is about 5 minutes from Puerto de la Cruz. It is suitable both for beginners and for advanced golf players who are looking to improve their play. Enjoy the tranquil, relaxing atmosphere and the panoramic view of the enchanting Orotava Valley. From his elevated position the guest will also have a marvellous view of the Teide Volcano and the Atlantic Ocean. The house is further highlighted by its exclusive furnishings and fittings and its generous living space. It is ideal for up to seven people looking for a holiday in a peaceful and high-standard atmosphere. From the terrace, or also from the small garden, you can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Atlantic and the view up to El Teide, the highest mountain in Spain (3,718 m). The entire living area of the villa totals some 220 m². It is distributed over two floors. On the upper level there are two interconnected living-rooms. In the first living-room, the larger, there are comfortable sofas and armchairs. There is a stereo with radio and CD-player. There is an open kitchen which is accessed via a breakfast bar. The living-room is particularly cosy in the evenings when the open-fire is lit, giving a romantic feel to the room.

The ‘Vista Océano House’ is a non-smoking property. Smoking is, however, possible outside and on the terrace. The second living-room is a little smaller. Large floor-to-ceiling windows give a wonderfully unobstructed and bright view of the sea. The large glass windows can be opened to make everything appear bigger. Here in the second living-room you will find a television with satellite connection for the reception of important international radio and television channels, as well as a DVD-player. There is also a sofa, and other chairs. The dining area is just a few steps from the kitchen. There are seven chairs at the large glass dining table. The modern kitchen is well-equipped: dishwasher, ceramic hob, and oven with electric grill, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer and much more.

Three of the 4 bedrooms are located on the upper level. Both bedrooms have double-beds with comfortable mattresses, one of 180 x 200 cm and the other 160 x 200 cm. There are large floor-to-ceiling wardrobes take care of your clothes for longer stays too. Each bedroom has a separate, large bathroom. One has a bath and the other one has a shower. There is another bedroom with a single bed of 90 x 200 cm. Downstairs is a further living-room, a bedroom (double-bed 160 x 200 cm), a bathroom and a kitchen, which really constitutes a separate apartment. For this reason, the holiday house might be of interest to two families holidaying together, but who still wish to retain some independence, or maybe just one family with a requirement for all four bedrooms.

A washing machine and a tumble drier are installed in a separate room. An ironing board, iron, hairdryer and a safe are also provided. Bed-linen, hand towels, bath towels and tea-towels are provided in plenty. On the terraces and by the pool there are sun-beds and garden furniture. The illuminated trapezium-shaped pool is between 3.5 and 5 m wide and 8 – 9 m long (approx.). It’s great for a refreshing dip and even better if you turn on the automatic counter-current feature. The pool can also be heated if you wish, to between 27 and 30ºC. The pool is cleaned biologically, without the use of chlorine or other chemicals. There is also a barbecue grill. In front of the house, and also looking towards the sea, there is a small garden with lemon trees. Your hire car can be parked right in front of the villa, on the driveway. There is no noise disturbance from passing traffic.

Location: High and steep rocky cliffs form the north coast of Tenerife. Close to a coastal headland lies the pretty and tidily-kept town of El Sauzal, with a lovely “plaza” and many floral decorations. High up on the cliffs there are more attractive miradores (panoramic look-out points). The wine museum in El Sauzal is of special note. The building itself, a former 17th century farmhouse, is worth a visit. Inside you’ll find an old grape press. There are separate exhibition rooms which tell the story of the history of wine production in Tenerife. The holiday house is situated in Las Naranjas, which belongs to La Matanza and El Sauzal. Between the two towns, below the motorway, there are residential areas known Primavera, Puertito, Las Naranjas, and Puntillo del Sol. Las Naranjas and the other three areas lie in the “sun-belt of the North”. This is the region of the north coast of Tenerife with the most hours of sunshine per year.

Location: La Matanza is a little larger and animated town with numerous shopping attractions, a large supermarket, cafés, bars, restaurants, and a large old church. Above the town there is an ancient wooded area with hours of walking trails through magnificent pine and eucalyptus forests. On the weekends, there is the opportunity to shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, wines, cakes and other home-made farm produce at the Farmers´ Market of La Matanza. El Sauzal is a pretty and tidily-kept town with a lovely “plaza” and many floral decorations. High up on the cliffs there are more attractive miradores (panoramic look-out points). Distances: Within easy reach are good quality restaurants and supermarkets, only around 3 to 5 minutes drive away. Facilities for golf, tennis and horse riding are also in the area. The distances to the airports are about 80 km to the South Airport and 10 km to the North Airport. To the capital, Santa Cruz, it’s about 20 km and to Puerto de la Cruz, 10 km. You can drive to the centre of La Matanza in about 5 minutes, and El Sauzal in 10 minutes. The ‘El Peñon – Real Club de Golf’ golf course is about 10 to 15 minutes away, the beach at Mesa del Mar and the romantic fishing village of El Pris are about 15 to 20 minutes away.

The small, romantic beach of Playa de San Marcos is less known with the tourists but because its fine, dark sand it is the favoured bathing spot for insiders. It is situated in a protected place, deeply cut in the cliff-lined bay. Because of the wind and water protected area it is perfect for swimming, also during winter time. Parasols and loungers can be rented. On the beach there is a small promenade with several cafés, restaurants and bars and a pharmacy. A small supermarket is in ca. 150 m distance from the house, a bus stop in ca. 70 m. Ca. 100 m from the beach there is the small fishing port where you can buy freshly caught fish directly from the fishermen.

The weekly price (7 days) for 2 persons including all additional charges (electricity, water, exclusive use of the swimming pool etc.), plus final cleaning is 990.00 Euro. Each additional day for 2 persons is 120.00 € (including all additional charges). Surroundings: In close proximity you can discover a lot, like e.g.: Icod de los Vinos, only 2 km away, which is surrounded by wine terraces and banana trees. The biggest attraction is the ca. „1000 years“ old, massive dragon tree ‘Drago milenario’. It is situated in the „Parque del Drago“. Here you will receive a good impression about the Canarian vegetation. The tree-covered hills above Icod with laid out hiking tracks invite you to go hiking or only walking a bit. In the small town Garachico (ca. 5 km away) you can visit the nice old town with its fortress.

The double bungalow has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths (one with bathtub the other with shower) as well as a generously furnished kitchen with all amenities (washing machine, dishwasher, cooling freezing combination, toaster, mixer etc.) The bungalow is suited for 2 to 8 persons. In the bedrooms are large built-in cabinets. In the living room there are comfortable seats and a pullout sofa and dining area. Likewise it has a stereo with CD player and German/Spanish satellite television. The large garden with chairs and tables as well as sun lounges invite for relaxing. The finca is situated on a small promontory and still has sun even when there are clouds above the island. The overall rest of the area is particularly attractive. We have a very beautiful grill corner with pond and swimming pool with whirlpool next to it with a temperature of 35 degrees C., so that our guests can really enjoy themselves. On the terrace with sun couches, a little bit protected from the wind, we have a fantastic view of the sea and mountains with the Teide of 3765 meters height in the background that is snow covered in winter. To the beach Playa San Marcos it is only 10 minutes by car, also we have a golf course at only 16 km distance that is sometimes called one of the best of Spain. Within only 45 minutes by car you can reach the south of Tenerife.

Watersports: The owner of the house is scuba diver and would be pleased to take his guests for diving, a boat trip, dolphin and whale watching or for (high sea) fishing. There are diving schools in Alcalá, los Gigantes, Playa San Juan, hotel Maritim, los Silos and many more. The owner goes at least once a month out for high sea-fishing.

Our Finca ‘Casa Rustica’ is located in the green north western region of Tenerife in the village of “El Tanque”, located app 1,600 ft above sea level in the hills above Garachico near Icod de los Vino and far from the mass-tourism resorts of the south and a 35 min drive from Puerto de la Cruz. The panoramic view from the terrace across the Atlantic is breathtaking. The house was first built in 1881, but was recently restored and totally refurbished. From the large terrace you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Atlantic, looking across small vineyards. Tenerife’s newest and most spectacular golf course, the Seve Ballesteros designed Buenavista Golf Club is nearby, a must-play for any golfing enthusiast. There are great walks within a short distance. The area is famous for its superb wines which can be sampled in the local restaurants. Our favourite is ‘Monteverde’ where you can enjoy some of the best local food available in Tenerife at extra-ordinarily low prices.

El Tanque is located on the main road from Icod de los Vinos to Santiago del Teide, some six miles from Icod at 1,600 feet above sea level, overlooking the Atlantic directly above the picturesque town of Garachico. To the village of La Tierra del Trigo where some of the greatest red wines of the Canaries are made it is only 10 minutes by car. The newly opened Golf Club Buenavista is about a half hour drive away. This course, which was designed by Severiano Ballesteros, is the most spectacular one of the whole Canaries and a must-play for any golf enthusiast. The safe beach of San Marcos is only 20 minutes away by car. Water temperature never dips below 21 degrees.

Restaurants and shopping: El Tanque has several smaller shops, supermarkets and banks with ATM’s, butcher shops and a bakery which is open from 8 am – 8 pm every day.

Golf: To Buenavista Golf Club it is approximately 30 minutes by car. Buenavista, designed by Severiano Ballesteros, is Tenerife’s newest golf courses and it is most spectacular. Five of the greens are right on the edge of the Atlantic. The course provides a challenge to any golfer.
