3 bedroom villa, sleeps 6 in Los Gigantes – S.W. Tenerife. The décor is white with touches of grey, black and red. Ground floor: A dining room, long hall way, wall hangings, an indoor ‘garden’ and a guest loo; also a large sitting room with TV, video, DVD and music. A newly refurbished twin bedroom with dressing room and bathroom, is on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully fitted with wood units and mostly Miele equipment. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom (double), dressing area and bathroom is large with a separate shower and huge jacuzzi with arches and tiled shelving. It also has a large terrace, with wonderful views. The second bedroom (twin) used to be the master and also has a dressing room and bath en-suite. It has a terrace with table and chairs – wonderful early morning coffee. Both have been recently refurbished. The front of the house has tinted sliding doors leading to the garden. You can sit in the shade of bougainvillea, under a pantiled roof or sunbathe on the lawn or newly- tiled terrace. Alfresco dining is a joy.

Los Gigantes is a quiet seaside village with a central square and church and a small sheltered beach. There are many restaurants, both in the village and just outside. Tennis and mini-golf can while away a morning as can various boat trips to view pods of dolphins and whales. Several golf courses are nearby for the enthusiast. Dominating the beach are beautiful sea cliffs, the ‘Giants’, reputedly the second highest in the world. Mount Teide – Spain’s highest mountain – is situated in the national park, about an hour’s drive to the east. The same distance away, but to the north, lies Puerto de la Cruz the island’s tourist capital, which houses Lorro Parque, a parrot conservation park with wonderful shows of dolphins, sea lions and a magnificent penguin house. Las Aguillas is similar but in the southern hills above Los Cristianos, 45 minutes away. There are two water parks close to Playa de Las Americas – Aqua Park at Costa Adeje and the nearby water kingdom, Siam Park.
Booking notes: A deposit of 20% per week is to be paid at the time of booking – Non returnable. The whole amount is to be paid 10 weeks in advance. If the booking takes place within 10 weeks of the holiday date, the whole amount is payable at once. Breakages: A deposit of £200 is payable with the whole amount and is returnable immediately if no breakages occur. Payment can be by Cheque or money transfer.
Inter-Island travel: Why not travel to some of the other Islands? La Gomera, La Palma, El Hierro, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuertaventura are moderately close to Tenerife and most are accessible by ferry (car or on foot) from Los Cristianos. If you prefer to stay on the island, it is easy to hire a car or travel by local bus (Titsa) or you can go into a travel agent and book a day trip or just 1/2 a day. Of course, the Pirate ship is a delight for the children – I think it is the sails that do it! The adventurous traveller can book a boat trip to get up close to the whales and dolphins.
Things to do: Masca is nearby but ‘hidden’ in the mountains. It is an easy drive via Tamaimo or you can join a group and go by water and then climb the mountain. If you take a day off, it is fun to use the binoculars and search for whales and dolphins from the comfort of the garden – you may be lucky.
Golf: Golf: With a delightfully warm climate all year round, golfing is a must for the enthusiast. In the south Abama Golf (18 holes) and Golf Costa Adeje (where the Spanish Men’s Open took place in 2003) are roughly 20 mins away by car. Further south and nearer to the airport are the Amarillo Golf (18 holes) and Centro de Golf, Los Palos (9 holes). Also in the area are Golf Del Sur and the Campo Del Golf (Las Americas). In the north there are the Real Club de Golf at Tacaronte (Spain’s 2nd oldest golf course) and the Buenavista Club de Golf designed by Severiano Ballasteros. All have the most amazing views and you can enjoy the 19th in beautiful surroundings.

It is not a package holiday area and may not suit those wanting noisy night life.

This beautiful 3rd floor apartment is situated within the much sought after complex of Balcon De Los Gigantes, a recently built luxury complex in the area of Puerto Santiago the quality of which can only be fully appreciated when it is seen first hand. Comfort being our main concern for our clients, we ensure that fluffy pillows, ceiling fans and comfortable beds ensure a good nights sleep after the rigours of sun bathing on our sunny terrace. The sitting room has stylish seating for up to six people, DVD player, satellite TV, soft lighting and a ceiling fan. The dining area seats six and has a separate quiet area for those guests who want to read or listen to music on the CD player provided. The American style kitchen is well equipped with hob, oven, fridge/ freezer, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board and a good range of china, glassware and pans for those who prefer to eat in. The terrace with a wide range of seating and dining facilities enjoys all day sun with a large manually operated blind to keep cool on the hottest days.The shared pool is a few steps away and has a child’s pool but no lifeguard.
The apartment has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Sleeps 4. The apartment is located at the end of the building known as Santa Barbara on the second floor. There are 3 flights of stairs approx 9-11 in each. The stunning view is over the Atlantic to the island of La Gomera, the bay of Playa de la Arena and the San Francisco tennis centre, bar/restaurant and pool. These facilities can be used on a pay by use basis. Two good sized bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, one with en suite. There is a separate bathroom also. Kitchen/lounge integral with table for 4. Large terrace with dining furniture for 6 and 2 loungers. The apartment is well equipped as it has been our home for a few years, more time in the UK due to health reasons restricts our time in Tenerife 2010. A new road means one can walk down to Los Gigantes approx 10-12 minutes, therefore a car is not a necessity due to nearby amenities and taxi services. Although with restricted mobility transport would be necessary. A supermarket and the Amazonia bar/restaurant is very close.
