All sleeping rooms are overlooking the garden with view to the Orotava-valley and/or the ocean. They all have heatings (thermostat controlled) and insect-nets at the windows.
Hiking / walking : Puerto is the main starting point for walking-tours at Tenerife, whether organized or individually. With the public buses you will get to the remotest corners of the island. Organized excursions do not need to be booked in advance. Daily meeting point is the local bus station. A special highlight: The rise and overnight in the ‘Refugio’ (hiking lodge) about 1 hour below the summit of the volcano mountain ‘El Teide’ with rise at dawn and the sunrise on the top.
Diving: Several local diving schools offer diving excursions from land or boat, also to other areas or Tenerife.
Tennis: Local tennis school with experienced train-staff.
Golf: The golf course ‘La Rosaleda’ with golf school is located just 1.5 km away. Other golf courses in the north: The Royal golf course near the northern airport (about 20km), golf course in Buenavista del Norte – created under the guidance of former Spanish golf professional Severiano Ballesteros.
