Sunningdale Village attracts families and couples of various nationalities who want a relaxing holiday in pleasant surroundings within close walking distance to all amenities. It is a virtually flat site and therefore suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. There is a large heated swimming pool and a poolside restaurant. The complex is ideal for children who will enjoy the children´s pool and play area and are sure to want to join in the Team Marina kiddies club with scavenger hunts and the like.
Golfing Information: The 27 hole international course at Golf del Sur is considered to be Tenerife’s leading golf course. Ever since its 1987 inaugural event the 27 greens and fairways of Golf del Sur have provided the backdrop for various top international tournaments. The course was designed by Pepe Gancedo and has a thoroughly enjoyable layout in which one’s attention is immediately caught by the black volcanic sand in the bunkers. The wide fairways are lined with such a wide variety of indigenous plants such as palm trees and giant cacti. This 800 square-metre course beside the Atlantic Ocean is like a veritable oasis. Particularly difficult is the 3rd hole of the north course. To the right of the wide fairway is a water hazard, behind which lies an impressive ravine with an ochre-coloured rockface, while to the left is a gaping bunker of black sand. Another notable hole is the 2nd of the southern course, a par 3 of 193 metres whose green is surrounded by another immense bunker of black sand.
